Be prepared.  Check your internet connection and web cam before session begins.  Make sure students have all materials needed for each session (i.e. math journal, pencil, textbook, homework, class notes, etc.)  Make sure electronic device(s) are charged and working properly.

Keep notes.  It’s important that each students take notes during every tutoring sessions.  Keep your notes in a math journal, folder, and/or binder.

Ask questions.  During the Q & A session, be sure to ask questions to clarify anything you may have missed or need additional information on.

Take advantage of the Additional Practice Sessions: More Practice and Challenge Yourself Sessions have been incorporated to assist those students who need additional help with any particular unit of study as well as for students who would like to try more challenging problems within any unit of study.  (Upon request)

Team Effort:  Parents - commit to checking your child’s progress by logging into the Tracking Your Progress sessions.  Assessments are given bi-weekly as a way of measuring your child’s understanding of any given unit of study.  Parents also need to make sure students have access to a working electronic device with access to the internet and a working printer.

Be accountable.  Parents make sure your child views any missed tutoring session(s). Also, students need to have homework from school for our scheduled Homework sessions.  (All tutoring sessions are recorded.)
